Michael Chiesa and Anthony Pettis should have fought three months back, had it not been for Conor Mcgreggor’s infamous bus attack that opened a cut on Chiesa’s face leading to a 3 months delay for the fight to happen.

Despite everything, Chiesa’s focus is unmoved as he hopes to work his way up in the UFC Lightweight rankings. Despite being in the title mix he still has to bounce back from an ugly loss to Kevin Lee.

In an Instagram post, Chiesa has claimed that he has never been more prepared for a fight than his upcoming match up against “Showtime” at UFC 226 which takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

His opponent Anthony Pettis, on the other hand, has been on a downhill ride having lost 5 of his last 7 fights. Even his wins has come against opponents like Jim Miller and Charles Oliveira, who are nowhere in their prime. “Showtime” is in desperate need of a win to make a second run at the UFC Lightweight gold.
