UFC 225 featured a baffling bout as former WWE superstar CM Punk took on Mike ‘the Truth’ Jackson to kick off the main card. Expectedly, Jackson won the bout via a lopsided unanimous decision.

‘The Truth’ however faced heavy criticism from UFC president Dana White for not finishing the fight. White called Jackson an ‘idiot’ and accused him of showboating. White also made it extremely clear that it might be the last time we see Jackson in the UFC. However an official statement hasn’t been released.
With his future with the UFC in jeopardy, Jackson might have already lined himself for a fight outside the UFC against Bellator’s Aaron Chalmers.
Chalmers is a former British reality TV star. He was the cast member of Geordie Shore (the British equivalent of MTV’s Jersey Shore). He has since transitioned into full-time MMA training and won all four of his professional bouts via first round finish. He made his debut for Bellator at Bellator 200 in May where he defeated Ash Griffiths via first round submission.
With Jackson being a journalist and also young in his MMA career, this fight certainly makes sense. Chalmers tweeted that his team has asked for Jackson as a possible opponent, which led to exchange of words between the two. (via Twitter):

Oh, so that's what we're doing? Did you not mention my name first? "We have asked for the Jackson fight…" And "muppet"? Is that supposed to offend me? https://t.co/2I0aCKhiPx
