UFC Fight Night in Denver will mark the UFC’s 25th Anniversary. The card features a co-main event to pay justice to the occasion as two newly formed training partners, ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry (12-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) will take on hometown hero Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone (33-11-1NC MMA, 20-8 UFC) on November 10.
Perry since his move to Jackson Wink MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has shown considerable amount of technical improvement. Perry last fought at UFC 226 against a tuff veteran in Paul Felder. He won the fight via a razor thin split decision. Perry would like to continue to refine his brawling style and showcase against Cowboy.
Perry speaking with Submission Radio, revealed his future timeline and will swap his opponents based upon the circumstances. Perry however has to get through Cowboy first.
“I think that depends on how I win”, Perry said. “If I beat him with a vicious KO, that puts me top-15 and puts me in line for – if Till does’t beat Woodley, then when I beat Cerrone we’re looking at a Till-Perry fight, especially after the sparring. I know they want to see that. And if [Till] does [win], maybe one before the Colby fight or I could jump right to the Colby fight. If we go off of anger issues, Colby Covington is just a little b**ch and I’ll take that fight all day. But Till would be great out of respect and skill.”
