Former UFC champion Conor McGregor believes Joanna Jedrejczyk won in her fight against Weili Zhang at UFC 248.
Zhang and Joanna battled each other in the co-main event of UFC 248 in what was regarded as the greatest women’s MMA title fight of all time. Both fighters traded leathers with each other throughout the fight.
Weili Zhang defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk via SD (48-47, 47-48, 48-47).
The entire five rounds were filled with entertaining action. In the opening round, Joanna dominated the first half of the round with her accurate leg kicks and clean significant punches. In the latter half of the round, Zhang started to takeover coming forward and landing huge bombs.
By round 4, Joanna had grown a huge hematoma on her forehead. She was practically not recognizable and Zhang still kept on hitting hard on the overblown hematoma.
In the fifth round, Zhang was dishing out her scary right hand and Joanna was eating those shots and landing some punches of her own. Both fighters ended the fight with dueling spinning backfists.
Conor McGregor took to twitter after the fight and stated that he had Joanna winning the fight.
Amazing contest! Wrong decision. https://t.co/1o0o9cLHUz
