The former UFC champ champ Conor The Notorious McGregor has been the MMA star at the forefront of fighting and creating awareness for Coronavirus. McGregor has now released another video after his home country Ireland has been put under lockdown. This led McGregor to release another video, this time emphasizing the importance of this 5-week lockdown of Ireland.
McGregor released a video on his social media channels and also through his MMA and combat sports news media company, TheMacLife. Here’s what he had to say:
Hello everyone, hello Ireland. We have now entered a substantial lockdown and I am pleased to see it. You see if you do not enter the game, you kind of win it. We have now entered the game and with strict adherence and message, we will win it.
To the Irish public, we must abide by the legislature put forth tonight by our leaders. No further than two km from our homes, no unessential travel, and full closure of all non essential businesses. Now more than ever, we must abide by this, and I pray for the health and safety of our country every day, the fate of our lives and those of our loved ones depend on it. Together we must encourage home workouts, and we must encourage healthy and immune boosting nutrition plans.
Our airports will shut, the only flights to take place is for essential medical reasons only or to bring medical staff back home to support. The airports must be shut for everything else. For those attempting to get home, please make wherever you are, your home. You are doing your country an incredible duty by staying put, we will get past this. It is not forever, but it is for now. Tonight our defense forces have been mentioned as a possibility in assisting our 15000 Gardai (Police) but only if necessary. However, it is necessary. We cannot go by chance here. Any less than full adherence to these newly put forth methods by any member of our society will not only be a mockery to what we are attempting to do – it would put the rest of our great nation in danger.
