Bellator middleweight and grappler Dillon El Jefe Danis has in the past had a long standing virtual social media beef with the current UFC light heavyweight champion and one of the greatest fighters to ever grace the sport of MMA, Jon Jones. The two have exchanged verbal shots time and again mostly on the popular microblogging website Twitter. After Jones again got arrested last night for drinking and driving and for the negligent use of a firearm, he received support from the current UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina The Bullet Shevchenko. Danis fired back on Twitter at Shevcheko’s supportive comments for Jones’ irresponsible behavior.
Shevchenko had given her support to Jones by tweeting out the following message for him, “So sad the modern world is all about hype! Now many people starting to insult Jon Jones without knowing his real situation! Fighting on the same card , I could see he is kind and noble man ! Him being in all that difficult times – he will be back Stronger!”
The Bellator middleweight did not take too kindly to Shevchenko’s response and fired back with a now deleted tweet. In the tweet, Danis advised the Polish fighter to talk to someone who has lost their loved one due to the negligence and crimes of a drunk driver. Here’s what he said in his extremely strongly worded reply to Valentina:
Drunk driving multiple times he isn’t just putting his own life in danger but the life of others, Maybe you should talk to a young kid who parents have been killed by a drunk driver that were completely innocent and maybe you will rethink a noble man.
Below is a picture of Danis’ since-deleted tweet:
Shevchenko has a professional MMA record of 19-3 and is currently on a five fight winning streak and is undefeated since moving down to the UFC women’s flyweight division. Her last victory came over in a rather dominant fashion via TKO over Katlyn Chookagian.
