The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion The Notorious Conor McGregor had earlier this year back in January made his return to active competition by brutally knocking out MMA veteran and fan favorite Donald Cowboy Cerrone. McGregor is now busy calling out opponents on Twitter, particularly the newly crowned UFC interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje. However, he had also sent out another call-out and made an extremely bold claim that after conquering the UFC’s lightweight division he will move on to win and conquer the UFC’s welterweight division. This got him a prompt reply from the welterweight kingpin Kamaru Usman.

Usman took to Twitter to claim that McGregor must be “drunk texting” to make such bold claims of fighting and winning the 170 pounds belt. You can check out his tweet down below:

Conor had urged for Ireland to go into lockdown to fight Coronavirus

Conor McGregor has not just been helping with his generous and hefty donations but also through his appeals to the people of Ireland and in this case to the Irish government itself. He had previously urged Irish government to not hesitate and put Ireland into a lockdown, “Hello everyone, hello Ireland. We have now entered a substantial lockdown and I am pleased to see it. You see if you do not enter the game, you kind of win it. We have now entered the game and with strict adherence and message, we will win it. To the Irish public, we must abide by the legislature put forth tonight by our leaders. No further than two km from our homes, no unessential travel, and full closure of all non essential businesses. Now more than ever, we must abide by this, and I pray for the health and safety of our country every day, the fate of our lives and those of our loved ones depend on it. Together we must encourage home workouts, and we must encourage healthy and immune boosting nutrition plans.”
