Earlier this week former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor went on an epic Twitter rant. He put the entire division on notice.
He talked trash about newly crowned interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje and lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. He even had a word of advice for Tony Ferguson.
Tony Ferguson’s 12-fight winning streak was snapped by Justin Gaethje last Sunday at UFC 249. The fight took place in Jacksonville, Florida. In this fight, Gaethje put a one-sided beating on Ferguson and ultimately the referee had to step in to stop the fight.
After the fight, Conor McGregor took to twitter the next day and said that ‘El Cucuy’ was never a good fighter in the first place.
I love Tony. We represented him amazingly at Paradigm sports and were betrayed for a promise of a baseball contract. But frame and preparation here was just embarrassing. His methods and conversation are humorous/enjoyable but he was never the level perceived. Although tough.

In a tweet later, he suggested that Tony should fight Dustin Poirier next. In this tweet, McGregor even managed to take a sly dig at the former interim lightweight champion.
It is Dustin/Tony next when Tony heals.
If he does. Dustin will beat him also if changes are not made. Which they won’t. Dustin, although game, and in the mix, will be fed to the floor again. Couple wins here/there then folded in half. Rinse and repeat – Dustin career.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) May 11, 2020

Tony Ferguson fires back at Conor McGregor following Twitter rant
It didn’t take much longer for Tony Ferguson to reply. In a tweet, Ferguson fired back at McGregor and stated that the Irishmen never represented him as he had stated in a previous tweet.
@TheNotoriousMMA You’re Still My Bitch. You Never Represented Me According To Audie,.. If So Then You Worked For Me, & Withheld Money From Me. Focus On Putting The Bottle Down Kid. @BallengeeGroup Is Gold Standard, Must Be Hard Watching From The Sidelines. Keep It Up Chump -Champ pic.twitter.com/1nZT5eN1OZ

Conor McGregor then replied back with another dig at Tony Ferguson.
Shut up and thank the nurses and doctors that plated back up your skull and stitched all those gashes up.
It’s international nurses day!
And learn how to box!
Fumbling over your feet like a fucking Buffoon. We’d be embarrassed to represent that at Paradigm Sports.
