UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko is set to take on her next challenge in Katlyn Chookagian at UFC 247. The fight will be the co-main event and will take place on February 8 at the Toyota Center.
Valentina is a woman of many talents. She can speak eight different languages. She was travelled to numerous countries and has a degree from the University of Arts Kyrgystan, Undergraduate Degree in Film Directing.
Not many people know about the film directing degree that Valentina holds. This may end up benefitting Valentina when she’s done with her MMA career.
She was asked about this during the UFC 247 athlete panel.
“You know in university what I finish was the University of Arts as a film director, so obviously in future, I would love to see me over there,” Valentina said when asked if she would like to pursue a career in Hollywood.
“If there’s gonna be a movie, which they are gonna make about James Bond, but the female version, I would be first in the line to be in the movie
“[Laughs]” when asked if she would be better black widow then Scarlett Johansson. “It’s very different, right now I am considering that my professional fighter career is very important for me and it’s like surreal, what we are making right now, very like so hard, living the life of what the fighters are living and it takes a lot of energy
“That’s why all my focus is in the training and to make myself better as a fighter each day,” Valentina Shevchenko said.
Valentina Shevchenko is coming off of a successful defense of her UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship with a unanimous decision victory over Liz Carmouche. Her 4-fight win streak at 125 lbs is the longest active UFC win streak in the division.
