With 40th fight under his name, Gerald Meerschaert picked up his 21st career submission win following his third round victory over Trevin Giles. The veteran Meerschaert had to weather the storm in the first round as both the middle weights engaged in a back and forth battle. Giles immediately took Gerald to the mat giving no respect to the ground specialist. Gerald had to dig deep and capitalize on the slight error from Giles to quickly wrap up a choke that resulted in Gerald putting Giles to sleep 1:49 secs of the final round. With this win, Gerald bounces back after two straight losses and improves his UFC record to 5-3
