Stephen Thompson pulled off a shocker after going all out against Kevin Holland in the fourth round of their clash in the main event of UFC Orlando this Saturday night at the Amway Center.
The fight started off in pretty equal efforts, with Holland slightly on the lead, with both making connections on one another. Holland did manage a takedown on Thompson in round two, but the latter engaged more with the leg kicks that was starting to do the damage.
From the third, the bout slowly turned in to the favour of Thompson as his continuous leg kicks and unloading with the right hand in between. However, it was round four that saw ‘Wonderboy’ utilizing all his firepower, as he almost earned a stoppage after dropping ‘Trailblazer’ before getting back up.
All that being said, just before the fifth and final round, it appeared that Holland had suffered a hand fracture, as his corner waved off, awarding Thompson the victory via corner stoppage TKO.
