Paige VanZant is on a two-fight losing streak and she last fought in January earlier this year where she suffered a unanimous decision loss to Jessica Rose at UFC Fight Night 124 in Enterprise center, St. Louis and before that she suffered round one submission loss to Michelle Waterson.

Paige VanZant broke her arm during the first round of her fight against Clark. The injury occurred when Vanzant landed a spinning back fist to Clarke’s head. Despite a broken arm, she went full three rounds in the fight. she underwent surgery, but she believes she went into training too soon and it damaged the healing process for which she went through another surgery which went successfully.

However, she is now cleared to fight again and she will fight on the first-ever UFC on ESPN card in January. Although just a week back she refuted the claims about fighting Rachael Ostovich and said that she hadn’t received clearance and the matchup was “fake news.”

She made the announcement on her new YouTube page:

“The verdict is I can go for it, I can punch people again – well I’m not able to punch people yet – but in like six weeks I can punch people. But I can start training and working out again and I’m going to be fighting in January.”

“I can officially announce, you heard it here first, that I will be taking a fight on Jan. 18 on the first-ever ESPN card,” VanZant said. “We’re going to be getting an opponent matched up.”

Although VanZant didn’t specifically mention Ostovich’s name, she confirmed a bout agreement for the previously mentioned date is on the table, and now that she’s been cleared, she is prepared to sign it.

It’s a very intriguing matchup and VanZant would definitely be looking forward to ending her losing streak.
