After some turn of events, we finally have a fight as Paul ‘The Irish Dragon’ Felder moves up to welterweight division and step up against Mike Perry at UFC 226 on July 7.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Ariel Helwani and later confirmed by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto. (via Twitter):
Per Dana White, Mike Perry vs. Paul Felder “is on” nine days from now. UFC 226. Felder loses a fight with James Vick and gains one against Mike Perry in a span of 24 hours.

Felder was expected to face surging lightweight James Vick at UFC Boise on July 14 was left without an opponent after Vick agreed to step in for an injured Al Iaquinta against Justin Gaethje on August 25.
Perry on the other hand was scheduled to fight Hawaiian Yancy Medeiros however Medeiros pulled out if the fight due to injury as well leaving Perry with no opponent.
Felder walks around 190 pounds, hence it would be appropriate for Felder. Felder is on a three-fight finish streak. Perry on the other hand is on a two fight losing streak.
