Finally, the proposed Paul Felder vs James Vick fight is confirmed for UFC Fight Night: Boise, according to MMA Fighting.
The towering James Vick (13-1) has long been asking for a big name in the division – he finally gets to face hard hitting Paul Felder (15-3).
Paul Felder was last scheduled to fight Al Iaquinta at the infamous UFC 223, where the fight was scrapped due to Conor Mcgregor’s bus attack. Al Iaquinta, on short notice, got the chance of a life time and faced Khabib Nurmagomedov for the the lightweight title, while Paul Felder was forced to sit out. The UFC have been quick to make amends and find a fight for Felder.
Felder is currently on hot 3-fight win streak, the latest of which coming via vicious knockout of Charles Oliveira. James Vick, for his part is also on a mean 4 fight win streak, with 3 finishes.
Felder is ranked currently 14 and Vick is ranked number 11 at the highly stacked UFC lightweight division. The winner of the fight is bound to earn a high profile top-10 opponent next.
UFC Fight Night: Boise takes place on Saturday, July 14th at the CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho. The card is headlined by former UFC heavyweight champion Junior ‘Cigano’ Dos Santos and Blagoy Ivanov.
