UFC: Platinum Mike Perry's girlfriend makes public post about break up, claims he cheated on her

Looks like Mike Perry won’t be having his girlfriend in his corner anymore, after all.

Detailing a long, explanatory message on Instagram, Danielle Nickerson says that her relationship with Mike Perry is over and that they will be only friends going forward.

She also said that the reason for the break up is that he had a ‘wandering eye’, and that although he didn’t physically cheat on her, that she had had enough of it all.

If you recall, Danielle came under scrutiny for shouting out borderline nonsensical instruction to him in his last fight against Max Griffin, that he lost.

Resident Welterweight heel Colby Covington picked up on it and posted an extremely rude message on Twitter, calling her ‘horse-faced’ among other things.

Mike Perry leapt to her defence then, but it seems that even then, he knew that the split between them was coming.

While Danielle Nickerson was posting this heartfelt Instagram post, detailing the circumstances surrounding their break up, Mike Perry’s Instagram story told a completely different story.

Platinum Mike Perry is now 4-3 in the UFC, having suffered back to back losses to Santiago Ponzinibbio and most recently, Max Griffin.

His lack of game planning was evident in both fights as he put himself in the way of too much punishment in hope of landing that one big shot.

He is currently healing up and awaiting the announcement of his next bout, while also considering a move to American Top Team, upon invitation from a few coaches that work there.
