In a recent interview with MMAFighting, Rafael Dos Anjos opened up on Tyron Woodley’s attempts to get a fight with Nate Diaz.

Needless to say, Dos Anjos seems less than thrilled about Woodley declining to fight him, and instead willing to put the 170-pound title on the line against longtime UFC Lightweight contender Nate Diaz.

Per UFC President Dana White, former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos is set to receive a shot at the UFC Welterweight title that’s currently held by Tyron Woodley.

Dos Anjos has been on a roll as of late and beaten several notable 170-pounders including ex-Welterweight kingpin Robbie Lawler.

The UFC is now targeting a fight between Dos Anjos and Woodley for International Fight Week in July.

Rafale Dos Anjos not amused about Tyron Woodley wanting to fight Nate Diaz

Regardless, with both Tyron Woodley and Nate Diaz lobbying for a fight with one another, Rafael Dos Anjos rubbished banter regarding the same—

“Tyron Woodley is only thinking about money,” Dos Anjos stated. “Of course that everybody wants to make money and needs money, but he’s running away from logic. He’s trying to force his hand and making a fight that makes no sense.”

“(Nate Diaz) can’t fight in this weight class, and Woodley is trying to force this fight. (Woodley) was willing to fight Nate Diaz while injured, needing to undergo surgery, because he knows it’s an easy fight and he can win without one arm. I think it’s wrong to hold the entire division like this.”

“He’s trying to get an easy fight and stay on his TV and radio shows as a champion, he wants this status,” Dos Anjos sounded off. “He doesn’t want to fight someone motivated as myself, someone on a roll. He wants to fight someone that will bring him money.”

Furthermore, Dos Anjos explained that although he’s achieved more than Nate Diaz in his career, the latter is more popular than him, and an easier, big-money fight for Woodley.

In light of Dos Anjos sounding off on Diaz and Woodley, the latter took to social media to express his indifference to the same—
