The UFC recently announced the next season of The Ultimate Fighter will feature UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker and middleweight stand out Kelvin Gastelum as the coaches. The season would culminate sometime at the end of the year in either November and December with Robert and Kelvin duking it out for the UFC Middleweight Championship.

UFC has now announced that the season 28 of the Ultimate Fighter will premier on August 29th on Fox Sports 1 and will feature contestants from the male heavyweight division and the female featherweight division. Titled as ‘Heavy Hitters’ the 28th edition of The Ultimate Fighter will aim to bolster the roster of two of the thinnest divisions in the company.
The UFC just announced that season 28 of The Ultimate Fighter dubbed "Heavy Hitters", premieres on August 29th on FS1 and will feature male heavyweights and female featherweights.

The female featherweight division especially has been notoriously scarce of any worthy contenders to challenge the reigning champion Cris Cyborg. The heavyweight division too has not seen many young up and comers with most of the top 10 contenders aged over 35 years and notoriously inactive.
