Below are the live results and play-by-play updates for the event.

Li Jingliang vs. Daichi Abe (Welterweight)

The main card of UFC Singapore started off with a welterweight bout between the upcoming Japanese star Daichi Abe and one of the most notable MMA fighters from China, Li Jingliang.  Both the fighters started off slowly with Abe making the first few moves via low kicks. Jingliang added his kicks into the mix a couple of minutes into the round but both Abe and Jingliang were refusing to give up their cautious approach.

The pace of the fight picked up in the last two minutes of the round and Jingliang started to put the pressure on Abe with some swift moves. At the end of the first round, it seemed like the fight could go either way.

The start of the second round saw Jingliang pushing harder. He was throwing kicks left and right but most of the kicks failed to cause any major damage.

A cheeky right hand from Jingliang at the four-minute mark of the round proved to be a complete confidence booster for the Chinese star. He started chasing Abe after the spot and tried to get a finish until the end of the round. The third round was all about Jingliang who started chasing a finish early itself. Abe managed to hang on despite taking huge damage and deserves credit for the same. Despite Jingliang’s efforts to finish the fight, it went the distance and on to the judges.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Li Jingliang def. Daichi Abe via  unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27)

Jessica-Rose Clark vs. Jessica Eye (Women’s Flyweight)

The second offering of the night came from the Women’s Flyweight division as Jessica Rose-Clark went up against Jessica Eye. Surprisingly, Eye and Clark started off their dance at a comparatively higher pace than the first fight.

Clark was getting the upper hand early on as she landed some good punches which rattled Eye. Eye did land some of her own power punches towards the end of the first round as the women closed off a tight round which could’ve gone either way.

A slip from Clark proved to be the turning point in round two. Eye tried to take advantage of the situation and pushed Clark against the cage but to no use. Another high point in the round came for Eye when she landed a stinging head kick. Though Clark was throwing more punches, Eye seemed composed throughout the round which was also a hard one to call as both fighters had their moments.

An evenly matched fight unfolded in the first two minutes of the last round. Eye’s distance management was something worth watching as she was putting her experience to good use. At the three minute mark, Eye managed to land a takedown and got the top position as well. Eye worked well on the top and closed out the last round on a high note.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Jessica Eye def. Jessica Rose-Clark via  unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

Ovince Saint Preux vs. Tyson Pedro (Light Heavyweight)

In the co-main event of the night, upcoming Light Heavyweight Tyson Pedro stepped into the biggest fight of his career against former challenger Ovince Saint Preux.

Pedro came into the fight on the back of submission victory over Saparbek Safarov while OSP was looking to bounce back from the defeat he suffered against Ilir Latifi. Pedro landed a beautiful kick just seconds into the first round and pushed for a submission on a dazed OSP. Fortunately for OSP, he managed to survive despite being in a bad situation.

Though he escaped the submission attempt, OSP was pushed up against the cage by Pedro who was then taken down by OSP much to the surprise of everyone. The veteran showed some good moves on top and got an armbar in for the win.

With the win, OSP now improves his professional record to 23-11. While Pedro drops to 7-2.

OFFICIAL RESULT:  Ovince Saint Preux def. Tyson Pedro via submission at the first round (armbar)

Donald Cerrone vs. Leon Edwards (Welterweight)

The main event of UFC Singapore saw Donald Cerrone lock horns with Leon Edwards in a welterweight contest. The 26-year-old Edwards was riding high on momentum thanks to his five-fight winning streak. Meanwhile, Cerrone had secured a TKO win over Yancy Medeiros in his last fight.

The upcoming youngster vs. the veteran was the subplot of the fight this time as well and Cerrone seemed fired up due to the same as he had a point to prove. Edwards, on the other hand, had to make a statement to show everyone that he belongs under the spotlight.

Edwards made his intentions clear early in the first round itself by going for a body kick. He then managed to push Cerrone up against the cage and started working on the clinch which was later broken up by Cerrone. The young Brit also landed some head kicks mid-way through the round.

It was Edwards that looked more composed in the start of the second round as well. Though Cerrone got a clinch at one point in the round, Edwards masterfully escaped and continued troubling Cowboy with some good punches and kicks.

Cerrone came out swinging in the third round and was apparently getting into the head of Edwards. With an improved confidence level, Cerrone was going behind Edwards who was playing the cautious game.

Edwards gained back his composure towards the end of the third round and seemed in a better position heading into the fourth. The pace of the fight was comparatively lower in the fourth round. Cerrone got a clinch against the cage and a takedown midway through the round. Edwards, to his credit, escaped from the situation without taking much damage.

In the fifth round as well, it was Cerrone who pushed forward. However, the veteran was having no luck in breaking through the defence of Edwards.  A takedown from Cerrone at the three-minute mark of the last round proved to be a game changer.

It added pressure on Edwards to bounce back and he tried for just that in the last minute. To the surprise of many, the fight went the distance.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Leon Edwards def. Donald Cerrone via unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-47)
