The heavyweight champion was furious to learn discrepancies between his salary and that of his challengers in the last 18 months. Although Miocic has rarely gone into depth about his grievances, it has never been far from the conversation in the last year. And with UFC 226 and a super-fight with Daniel Cormier ahead this weekend, Miocic confirmed Dana White and co. had solved the issue.
Miocic will earn a flat fee of $750,000 while Cormier will take home $500,000. The expected co-main event of featherweight champion Max Holloway and Brian Ortega was expected to bring Holloway $350,000 and Ortega $250,000.
The figures do not include deductions for items such as insurance, licenses, and taxes. Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, pay-per-view cuts, and many other factors are included.
The new Co-main event for UFC 226 i.e between Francis Ngannou and Derrick Lewis are making six-figure pay with Ngannou getting $100,000 to show and $100,000 to win and Lewis is making $130,000 to show and $130,000 to win.
