Cris Cyborg is without a doubt one of the greatest female fighters in the sport of MMA. She is the former UFC, Strikeforce and Invicta FC World Featherweight Champion.
However, her recent humanitarian efforts are bringing smiles to the people in a remote corner of Africa. She is currently on a mission to provide clean drinking village to two villages in Uganda. For this, she has teamed up with former fighter Justin Wren and his organisation Fight for the Forgotten.
“Our clean water is just part of an entire Water-Land-Food initiative going on to help empower the Batwa Pygmies currently enslaved, or living as refugees, I know usually I’m promoting fight related material, but this experience has reaffirmed to me the responsibilities we all have to help make this world more loveable and better for everyone,” Cyborg said.
“I think we can do better. You know, we can help. And I’m going to do it, and you guys know you’re going to be with me. I know you guys are with me, at the fight with me in the cage, and we’re going to be in another fight together.” She concluded.
But her efforts are not just limited to Uganda, she took to Twitter and announced that she wants to visit India this year for another outreach project.
