UFC: Tecia Torres feels Joanna Jedrzejczyk should be more humble, says Jedrzejczyk has no right to call herself the “Queen” of strawweights

The former UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk has always considered herself to be some levels ahead in terms of skill and output than the rest of the women in the division. She always considered and proclaimed herself to be the “Queen” of the strawweights. However, after her excruciating defeats, not once but twice at at the hands of the current UFC strawweight champion Rose “Thug” Namajunas, Jedrzejczyk’s claims have lost their credibility. But that has not stopped her from still proclaiming herself as the “Queen” of strawweights. Though, fellow UFC strawweight Tecia “The Tiny Tornado” Torres has some strong words for “JJ Violence” and has asked her to be more humble.

Tecia Torres had some strong words for Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

Torres has a MMA record of 10-2. She lost in her last fight to Jessica Andrade at UFC on Fox 28 via unanimous decision. Her only other loss came at the hands of the champion in 2016.

Torres who is now scheduled to fight Jedrzejczyk at UFC on Fox 30, recently told MMA Fighting in an interview that her next opponent should be more humble. Here’s what she had to say:

I think with her (Joanna Jedrzejczyk) saying that girls still continue to bow down to her, I think that is kind of still her not being as humble as I believe she should be. Especially after being defeated twice by the same person (at UFC 217 and UFC 2223). I think she should give Rose (Namajunas) more props because Rose deserves to be there and she has been a great champion, since I don’t know how long she has been there, a year now or what not. But I do not know, it is kind of funny when someone who does some cocky gestures like that, but to me, it does not get to me because I never sh*t talk about anybody, I just let my work talk for itself. But yeah, Rose is the champion, Joanna is not the strawweight queen. When she wins again if she wants to call herself that again, okay. But right now she is not.
