UFC: I would have TKO’d Francis Ngannou – Daniel Cormier

Daniel Cormier will try to become the first man to ever hold the UFC Light-Heavyweight and Heavyweight title simultaneously this weekend at UFC 226.

One man that stands in his path to greatness is the record breaking Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic.

Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic share a friendly relationship with each other off the cage, but when it comes to the octagon, they are as competitive as anyone in the game.

Daniel Cormier took a dig at Stipe Miocic’s inability to finish fellow contender Francis ‘The Predator’ Ngannou back at UFC 220.

“It’s gonna be different.” Cormier said of Stipe at the UFC 226 open workouts.

“The guy is good. The guy hits hard. But I feel like we have prepared for everything he can bring to the table. Man, this dude is a good champion — he is.”

“And I love Francis Ngannou. I think he’s a great guy.”

“But if I spent 22 minutes on top of him, I would have gotten four or five submissions and found a way to get some TKO stoppages.”

The build up to this ‘superfight’ has been nothing but respect from both sides, but this little dig could get inside Stipe’s stoic mindset.
