Urijah Faber has taken to social media so as to call out Dominick Cruz and Michael Bisping over their analysis of Jeremy Stephens’ illegal knee finish at UFC on FOX 28.
Cruz and Bisping believe Stephens’ knee to be a legal strike—something that Faber disagrees with.
Although Faber congratulated Stephens on his victory, he asserted that it doesn’t change the fact that the latter landed an illegal strike to finish the fight.
Jeremy Stephens fought Faber’s team-mate Josh Emmett on the main event of UFC on FOX 28 over the weekend.
Emmett dropped Stephens in Round 1, however, the latter came back strong in the second stanza of the fight.
Stephens caught Emmett with a beautiful left hook in Round 2, and proceeded to land elbow strikes (a few hitting the back of Emmett’s head) and an illegal knee that seemed to have touched Emmett’s head.
Following the knee, Stephens landed a few brutal elbows to finish off Emmett—something that Faber alludes is the result of the illegal knee having dazed Emmett.
Faber stated the following on his Instagram page—

“Gimme a break! Feel for @joshemmettufc, congrats @lilheathenmma but that was an illegal knee.”
