At UFC Vegas 33, Top UFC, middleweight contenders Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland collide to secure the top positions in the rankings of their middleweight division.
Top middleweight contender Uriah Hall will be fighting Sean Strickland in the headlining bout of Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 28 event, which takes place at the UFC Apex. The night’s full card airs on ESPN and streams on ESPN+.
Uriah Hall is riding an amazing four-fight winning streak, which is his longest during his time with the promotion. That includes his April win over Chris Weidman, where a brutally snapped leg ended the fight in just 17 seconds when Hall checked a low kick that destroyed his opponent’s limb. In his last decisive UFC win, Hall fought against Anderson Silva and won the fight via TKO in the fourth round. Silva retired after that fight.
On the other hand, Sean Strickland is currently riding a four-fight UFC winning streak in the octagon at 185 pounds. He’s unbeaten in his career when fighting at middleweight, having won all 16 of his contests in the weight class. This would also be the first time when he will be heading an event. But he doesn’t seem to feel the pressure of it as he looked pretty calm during his pre-fight staredown.
