Jamahal Hill has shown the MMA fraternity that he is in title contention in the light heavyweight division after he brutally knocked out surging prospect Johnny Walker in the first round at UFC Vegas 48. Jamahal Hill got the job done in less than three minutes. Walker started the fight with his low kicks which initially kept Hill at bay and the Brazilian kept mixing it up with spinning back elbow and clinches. But in the second round, Hill started pressuring Walker and threw a high kick followed by a right hand which dropped Walker following which the referee stepped in.

Stop doubting Jamahal Hill!!

Following the fight, he revealed that he is gunning for the title shot and lashed out at his critics.

(The title is) definitely what I want,” Jamahal Hill said in his post-fight interview. “I’m ready to come for that. But right now, we’re going to see. I’m going to take a look at the division and see what’s up and get with everybody. I’m going to get with the head bosses and see what makes sense.”

I’m feeling great,” Hill said. “I just wanted to come out here and show myself again and show what I can do. It’s time to start having a different kind of conversation, because you all are asking the wrong questions about me. ‘Where’s he going next?’ How good am I for real? Stop doubting. Start believing, ’cause it’s for real.” (H/T – MMAJunkie.com)
