UFC Vegas 55 features a female featherweight fight between former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm and surging featherweight contender Ketlen Vieira at the UFC’s Apex facility in Las Vegas.
This will be Holly Holm’s first fight in nearly one and a half years. She was out for that duration of time as she was nursing an injury. Holly Holm is currently riding on a two-fight winning streak and in her last fight, she defeated Irene Aldana at UFC on ESPN 16 in October of 2020. Prior to that, she defeated Raquel Pennington via unanimous decision at UFC 246.
On the other hand, her opponent Ketlen Vieira is coming off of an impressive decision win over former UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate at UFC Fight Night 198 last November. Prior to that, she was defeated by Yana Kunitskaya at UFC Fight Night 185 in February last year.
