UFC flyweight contender Alexa Grasso went the distance against Viviane Araujo in the main event of UFC Vegas 62, clinching a victory via unanimous decision at the at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas this 15th October.
Headlining her first UFC event, Grasso marked her fourth victory in a row as the 29-year-old Mexican maintained an edge over her Brazilian adversary throughout the five rounds. Despite being dropped to the canvas a number of times by Araujo, Grasso had quick recoveries, on top of her impressive boxing skills that earned her the favour from the judges.
“This was a war! This was so hard. All training camp was super hard but I’m so happy that everything went well,” said Grasso backstage following her win, “Four in a row! I feel so happy right now. I am crying right now, I know, but there are a lot of feelings. Thank you for the support.”
