UFC: Video emerges of TJ Dillashaw cheap shotting training partner after the bell in sparring

There has long been a school of thought, mainly propagated by Team Alpha Male fighters, that TJ Dillashaw is insanely competitive in training – sometimes to the point of harming his training partners.

Stories about this started making the rounds especially after TJ left Team Alpha Male and followed his striking coach Duane Ludwig to Colorado.

TJ Dillashaw’s aggression is plain for all to see
(PC: bloody elbow)

One particular fighter who was named by the team to have suffered the brunt of TJ’s aggression is Chris Holdsworth, who even came on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour show to describe the incident in detail.

I was always up for the fight, but there was multiple occasions where T.J. got a little bit too aggressive, he went overboard in training. He’s kneeing you while we’re boxing.

He’s throwing elbows while we’re doing jiu-jitsu. And I remember that instance that’s out in the public — yeah, it’s definitely true.

I shot in on T.J. and I was on all fours, he was sprawled out and he kneed me on top of the head. And that was before The Ultimate Fighter.

You can talk to a lot of his training partners. He’s the type of guy, you get the better of him one day or you get the better of him for one round, he’s coming tenfold the next day…There was multiple occasions, and it is what it is.

Till now, however, this theory has been mostly hearsay. And considering the bad blood between TJ and Team Alpha Male, it was also one that many took with a pinch of salt.

But finally, video evidence clearly showing TJ Dillashaw hitting his training partner on the face after the bell sounds has emerged on CSFights.com.

While the training partner in question isn’t someone that is clearly recognizable, TJ’s aggression and no-quarter-given style in sparring in clearly visible in the clip.

Do you think TJ is right going all guns blazing in sparring? Or should he tone his approach down a little so as to not injure other people?

Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
