Yoel Romero has given his verdict on Bisping’s retirement.

Bisping had been contemplating about retiring for quite a while now but it was widely expected that he would have one last fight in his home town of Manchester, England before riding off in the sunset. Thus, the sudden news about Bisping’s retirement still came as a surprise to a lot of people.

Bisping’s rivalry with Romero began at UFC 205. Bisping was the middleweight champion back then and Romero became the #1 contender that night. Their fight was one of the most exciting match-ups at a 185 pounds, unfortunately their fight never happened. Here’s what Romero answered at the UFC 225 media call about Bisping’s retirement:

I pray for him, and his family, [I hope] that he has a great life out of the fighting industry, and a prosperous life.
