The 22-year-old rising flyweight talent Valerie Loureda will be returning to face Hannah Guy at Bellator 258 which takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., on May 7.

Valerie is known for her great Taekwondo skills, which have been very much effective in her MMA career. She made her Pro debut in Bellator in February of 2019. She is 3-0 at the moment in her MMA career. Two of Loureda’s wins have come by way of KO/TKO.

Loureda, 22, most recently competed on Aug. 7 at Bellator 243, when she scored the second TKO victory of her professional career, a second-round stoppage of Tara Graff. After the win, Loureda took exception with Graff’s pre-fight comments that criticized her Instagram and TikTok success. In response, Loureda put on a dancing display that went viral.

“Of course it made it personal,” Loureda told reporters after the fight. “I just didn’t answer her. I didn’t lower myself to her. I waited for the chance I got to fight when I was healthy so I could shut her mouth.”

Graff and critics questioned the way Loureda carries herself outside the cage on her social media platforms, claiming it isn’t a good example in the sport.

Being judged and told how she should act on Instagram or Tik Tok didn’t sit well with Loureda.

“Let me tell you something: I’m a master in tae kwon do. I’m always professional until this girl,” Loureda said. “I can’t be professional with that girl when you’re telling me I’m being demoralizing to the sport. You know what? Look at all the girls who look like me, who dance, who want to defend themselves, who are now going to be in MMA because I’m an inspiration and they’re not scared. That’s what I stand for, not what she said.”

“I’m still going to post Tik Toks. I don’t care what anyone says,” Loureda said.

Before that result, Loureda won a unanimous decision over Larkyn Dasch and scored a first-round TKO of Colby Fletcher in her first two pro fights.

Hannah Guy (2-1) is making her Bellator debut in this fight. Just 25 years old, Guy made her professional debut in 2019 and since then she has gone 2-1 with two wins by submission and her only loss via split decision. Before she turned pro, Guy had one 5-0, 1 NC as an amateur fighter dating back to 2017. Hannah has a grappling-based fighting style which makes her a perfect opponent for Valerie has it would make it a perfect striker vs grappler matchup. A win over Valerie would give Guy a great push in her Bellator career.
