Indo-Canadian MMA star Gurdarshan Mangat suffered his first loss at ONE Championship: Mark of Greatness which took place at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

BJJ ace Reece McLaren of Australia defeated Gurdarshan Mangat via rear-naked choke submission with just 15-seconds left on the clock in the opening round. With this win, McLaren ended his two-fight losing streak at ONE championship. His previous two loses came against Danny Kingad and Kairat Akhmetov.

On the other hand, with this loss, Mangat ended his two-fight winning streak at ONE championship. He had defeated Toni Tauru and Abrou Fernandes in his last two fights. His overall MMA record now sits at 15-3.

Before the fight, he talked about visiting his roots in India and representing over a Billion people at the highest level of MMA.

“Now I am actually enjoying my career, it is because of ONE Championship. The way it is all set up, I know how many people are watching and what I represent to them. It inspires me to produce my best and the fan support encourages me to give more every time I enter the ring,” Mangat had said.
