Although Indian boxing star Vijender Singh isn’t fighting this weekend in Los Angeles like previously reported as he has suffered a bad cut in sparring session over his left eye, that hasn’t stopped Vijender Singh from fighting for people outside the ring.
He is now part of a charity drive organised by Uday Foundation that is combating hunger in India by providing meals to people. Uday Foundation says that with just Rs.11/- a meal can be provided to one person.
Vijender Singh took to Twitter and posted a video where he urged more people to join Uday Foundation.
With just Rs.11/- you can provide a meal to one person.

“The surprising thing is they provide a meal to a person in just Rs.11/- and I am very shocked, but Uday Foundation is doing a great job and I urge more and more people to join Uday Foundation. My best wishes are with them and I hope they do well in the near future,” He said.
According to details provided in the foundation’s website, they serve free, but wholesome, food to families of underprivileged patients in the Govt. Hospital and also for the children who come from far-off places to the Delhi hospitals for often longer treatments.
