In unfortunate news, Indian boxing superstar Vijender Singh’s (10-0-0) US debut which was scheduled to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 12th April on the undercard of Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Anthony Crolla has been delayed as he has pulled out of the fight sustaining a cut during a sparring session.
He sustained six stitches on his left eyebrow. He was scheduled to fight Kansas city based 24-year old boxer Calvin Metcalf (9-1-1, 2 KOs). Singh took to social media to announce that he had pulled out of the fight.

Unfortunately will not be able to fight on 12th April in LA(USA).

Vijender Singh is training under hall of fame trainer Freddie Roach who has trained legends like Miguel Cotto, Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya etc. He last fought against Ernest Amuzu of Ghana back in December of 2017 where he won via unanimous decision.
