Walt Harris suspended by CSAC after positive UFC 232 test

Walt Harris has been tested positive and is temporarily suspended by CSAC (California State Athletic Commission).


Walt Harris (5-6 UFC, 12-7 MMA) defeated once heavyweight champ Andrei Arlovski (16-12 UFC, 27-18 MMA) in a split decision at UFC 232 Pay Per View at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Walt Harris was tested by the CSAC as a scheduled fight night drug test and the test came back positive for LGD4033, which is a muscle-wasting medication in the same family of SARMs (selective androgen receptor modulators) like ostarine. This substance is mostly found in anti-doping cases involving tainted supplements.

Although UFC’s anti-doping program is monitored by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and it administers all the tests of UFC athletes. But this test was conducted by CSAC as the event was held in the state of California.

The team of Walt Harris already offered the supplement which was used by Harris said the Executive Director of CSAC Andy Foster. Now, the supplement will also be tested to find if it was tainted with the banned substance.
Now due to this failed test, Walt Harris will have to pay some fine but Walt Harris’s win over Arlovski at UFC 232 standstill any further confirmation.
