Cain Velasquez is finally back in the ring, and he had a special message for his fans.
The former two time UFC Heavyweight champion, who is currently appearing for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) as a pro wrestler, was behind the bars for eight months after being charged with attempted murder.
Since his arrest, Velasquez has received tons of support from both athletes as well as his fans, and after being released from jail last month, appeared in front of his followers at a recent Lucha Libre wrestling show last Saturday night.
“To be here, in front of you guys, right now, it’s a dream come true,” said Velasquez from inside the ring, “I truly appreciate it all, what you guys have always done, supporting me, my family.”

The MMA legend and two-time UFC heavyweight champion was arrested in back February after chasing down and attempting murder on Harry Goularte, who is charged with sexually assaulting a minor, who was first assumed as a close relative of Velasquez and was later revealed to be his four-year-old son. Goularte, who works in a daycare, was accompanied by his mother and his stepfather, Paul Bender, who was shot twice as Velasquez opened fire on their vehicle.
Velasquez faces 10 counts, including attempted murder, assault with a firearm, assault with a lethal weapon, and possession of a loaded firearm with intent to commit a crime, among others. If he is convicted, the fighter could face a sentence of 20 years in prison or even life in prison.
