The current UFC women’s bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes has been garnering a lot of attention lately with her inspirational and exceptional performances. While there is plenty of talk about Nunes potentially even being the GOAT of women’s fighting, multiple division women’s professional boxing champion Claressa Shields does not believe the same, and firmly believes that in a boxing match she could brutally knock Nunes out.
Shields was recently interviewed by TMZ, she revealed that she has a lot of respect for Nunes, and while she said that she truly believes Nunes is the GOAT of WMMA, she cannot be called the GOAT of entire women’s fighting. And if they ever were to compete in Boxing, then Shields would definitely win. Here’s what she had to say:
She (Amanda Nunes) is definitely the best Women’s MMA fighter of all time, but not the greatest fighter. But I am the greatest women’s fighter of all time, I mean like I have always been. It does not matter whatever she has done and achieved because she hasn’t won gold medals twice at the Olympics.
Amanda in the GOAT in MMA and I am the GOAT in boxing, and if we were to fight then I would win. I’m not sure about MMA but if we were to fight in Boxing, then I would knock her out.
