Cory Sandhagen created history by becoming the first UFC fighter to win his fight live on ESPN. He defeated Mario Bautista in a bantamweight bout via submission due to an armbar in the very first round itself. Even though he is currently unranked, he still has his eyes set on taking on a top 15 or even top 10 fighter next.

Sandhagen spoke to the media during the post event press conference. He told reporters that he does not care who he will face next but wants to face off against a top 15 opponent in his next fight. Here’s what he had to say:

I don’t really care man. I know I’m working my way up. I am developing my name. I am getting UFC experience which is different than professional experience. But like I said I’m 26 you know so I want someone top 15 for sure, maybe even top 10. But if it is Lineker then it is Lineker. I really believe that on any night I can beat any fighter. So whoever it is, whoever the UFC wants to give me, it’s cool. Right now, I’m in no rush to call anybody out.
