Watch: Donald Cerrone talks about ‘relaxed intensity’ in the lead up to Conor McGregor superfight

Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor is all set to return to the Octagon against Donald Cerrone at UFC246, which is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena on January 18.

The fight will take place in the welterweight division. Both McGregor and Cerrone have fought at 170lbs before.

This will be McGregor’s first bout in since UFC 229, which took place in October last year. In that fight, McGregor lost the fight via submission in the fourth round. This is an important fight for Cerrone as well. Cerrone is coming off of a back to back stoppage loses to Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje.

The UFC officially announced the fight on December 15 at the UFC 245 broadcast.

Ahead of the fight, Cerrone released a footage where he revealed his relaxed intensity leading up to UFC 246 fight with McGregor.

I have definitely learned over the years…the patience..so now you just kinda play the game and its called a relaxed intensity. When you feel good, you ride good, when you feel good, you fight good and calm when you don’t need to be….it’s knowing that your preparation in the training camp is going well and then you can go out there and have little bit of fun, a little bit of swag that all come together……so the preparation is what makes the man I think,” Donald Cerrone said in the video.

The fight is highly intriguing as McGregor is fighting at 170lbs after a layoff of nearly fifteen months while Cerrone has been very active this year, competing four times inside the Octagon. He is 2-2 in the UFC in 2019, whereas Conor McGregor hasn’t won a fight in the UFC in more than three years. His last win was against Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205.

Who do you guys think wins this fight?
