Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor is all set to fight Donald Cerrone at UFC 246. The fight will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on January 18.

Heading into this mega-fight, there hasn’t been any promotional tour or press conference for this fight. The press conference are a major part of McGregor’s promotion heading into this fight.

The fact that there hasn’t been a single press conference goes to show how seriously committed Conor McGregor is to his fight. McGregor recently gave an interview to The Mac Life ahead of UFC 246, where he revealed his plans for 2020.

He said he plans on fighting Justin Gaethje, a rematch with lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and a fight with Jorge Masvidal or Kamaru Usman for the UFC welterweight title.

He’s [Justin Gaethje] on the list. He is on the list. Maybe I will face him next. Maybe I’ll face him next, you know? He has it coming to him. I mean laugh at how Justin is behaving. He’s a funny guy. He’s been taking it very to heart, you know? And I know the feeling when you do that. So maybe I’ll get through Donald and I’ll have a quick turnaround against Justin. So maybe that’s what will happen. But Justin is on the list, no doubt,” McGregor said.

A rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov is highly lucrative for both Conor McGregor and the UFC. Their first fight at UFC 229 sold 2.4 Million PPV buys and generated $17 Million in gate. McGregor lost the fight via submission in the fourth round but was insistent that the Russian is trembling in fear by the thought of fighting in a rematch.

I’m just having fun with it all now, he [Khabib] is trembling. That man is trembling, he doesn’t want it. He doesn’t want it. You get it and he’s trying not to lose it again. I just smell s**t, that’s all it is. He’s afraid and that’s it. Everyone wants it, the boss wants it, Dana wants it, we all want it, so he can run but he can not hide, I look forward to it.” McGregor.

Conor McGregor’s fight at UFC 246 will take place at welterweight and two potential fights that he envisions in 2020 at welterweight is against BMF champion Jorge Masvidal and UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.

I’d face Jorge,” he said.

I liked the look of that welterweight bout, the welterweight title fight,” McGregor continued. “I like the look, Kamaru Usman, I look of Colby. I’m open to it all at 170.”

People forget about my skill base,” he said. “I’m going to go in there and remind them. I don’t feel these people are on my level when I’m committed. I have not been committed in awhile, up until about a year ago. I started really committing myself. I look forward to going back and showcasing my skills to the people.” (H/T –
