Last week, the UFC’s anti-hero Nate Diaz made his UFC return after three long years and comfortably defeated former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis via unanimous decision at the co-main event of UFC 241 which took place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Following his victory, Nate Diaz called out the ‘East Coast Gangster’ Jorge Masvidal for a fight next. During the call-out, Masvidal looked visibly happy which gave fans the reason to believe that Masvidal wouldn’t back out of this fight and that he was interested in it.

Now Jorge Masvidal has responded to Nate Diaz’s call-out on his new Youtube channel.

Nate was right about one thing: I’m no West coast gangsters,” Masvidal said. “I’m from Miami-Dade county. I’m a dirty south goon – damn right, I ain’t no West coast gangster. And I’m ready. I’m ready to put it on the line. I’m so gangster with it, we can do it – besides the 7 percent tax in Cali – we can do it in Cali.

A week ago, Masvidal was campaigning for a title shot as he was coming off of a stunning 5-second KO win over former Bellator and ONE champion Ben Askren. Before that he knocked out Darren Till in the Englishman’s backyard in England.

Jorge Masvidal, however, said that the talks for his next fights have already begun.

We’re just negotiating now,” Masvidal said. “Let’s give the fans the fight that they want to see. Two dogs, locked in the cage, going for the jugular. You know I could get hit with a baseball bat and it don’t mean nothing. The same thing for my rival. You could hit that dude with a baseball bat to the kneecaps and he’s going to keep coming. It’s a fight that the fans want and they’re going to get. I’m going to give it my all, and I know Nate’s going to give it his all. Let’s do it.” (H/T –
