Veteran Urijah Faber’s return to the Octagon made everyone wonder what to expect. Even the small lot of people who may have expected him to flatten his opponent quickly would have been shocked to see it unfolding. Not just the fans, but the commentators, Michael Bisping and Brendan Fitzgerald, reactions were enough to describe how everyone watching the fight felt.
A camera was placed upon play-by-play man Brendan Fitzgerald and analyst Michael Bisping when the fight began to roll. As soon as the finishing sequence began with Faber landing the sneaky over hand right, the excitement was too much to control for either of them.
Brendan immediately left his chair and was standing on his feet. His face and his voice were a blend of excitement and joy. The former middleweight champ remained strapped into his seat as if he has been struck by lightening. “The Count” kept rocking back and forth in his chair with his hands on his head.
As the 40 year old Faber put the final nail in the coffin, Bisping left his chair. He kept signalling with his hands that it was over. Fitzgerald, it seemed, was the one brimming with more emotions. A close look at his clenched fist while he was standing validated the same.
Bisping shared the video on his Instagram with a sarcastic remark.

His companion also took to social media to share the same video. He also wrote, “I mean that night was just bananas. As I was writing the stat in my notes for Urijah’s last KO (2007!), I had a hunch I would need it, but thought it was wishful thinking. Nope. Incredible night!
(PS – I sound cooler than I look apparently)
The fight marked the reincarnation of a UFC Hall of Famer in Faber. It also showed that despite being around the fight business for so long how people still feel the same rush while seeing a fight.
