Dwayne The Rock Johnson is one of the successful and most globally recognized people on the planet. His recent involvement in the world of MMA has certainly been very welcome by the MMA community and he has been accepted by fans with open arms. The Rock recently made an appearance on Ariel Helwani’s show at ESPN. On the show, he was asked about whether he gets depressed or anxious. His response was truly motivating.
The Rock told Ariel that whenever in life he feels depressed there are three essential things that he does, one of which is that he constantly reminds himself everything is going to be fine. Here’s what he had to say:
You know I think that when you are in a position like mine and you know the optics of my life is always so forward-facing and it can be at times noisy and loud just by virtue of my job and what I do. Everyone for that matter they see the upside to it, and again the optics of fame and the optics of fortune and I am not complaining because I always say that the alternative to that was going back to the days when nobody knew who I was, go back to the days when I played in the CFL for the Calgary Stampeders for just a few months before I was cut. When I was cut from there Wolly Bono gave me great advice to hang in there.
I always say what helps me with the pressure and anxiety and all these things, just try and remember a few things: 1. Everything’s gonna be okay. I try to make the try, it’s much easier said than done and everything’s gonna be okay. 2. You’re not alone and 3. I try to keep in mind that I do not keep the hard times at the forefront of my mind.

This was my favorite part of the interview with @therock today. Loved his answer. What an honor it was having him on the show today. Can’t thank him enough for taking time out of his incredibly busy day to talk me. I’ll never forget this one.
