The welterweight champion of the world Tyron Woodley has finally expressed his interests on moving up to the middleweight division and capture the crown over there.
Woodley has a previous win over the present middleweight title challenger Kelvin Gastelum who will be fighting for the title against champion Robert Whittaker on UFC 224.Woodley meanwhile is set to defend his welterweight belt for the 5th time against Kamaru Usman on UFC 235.Usman emerged as the contender to challenge for the title after putting an impressive win over Dos Anjos.

In his appearance on The Ariel Helwani show, this past Monday, welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, was seen teasing fight fans with the possibility of moving up to the 185-pound division. Woodley said:
“People in the middleweight division, they need to watch out too. I might slide up on one of y’all by the end of the year. Wipe out the division clean at welterweight and go up there and either beat Kelvin Gastelum up again or take out Robert Whittaker. They are both welterweights anyways. They just don’t know how to cut weight.”
