In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC commentator voiced his suspicions about potential foul-play in the high-profile boxing match between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury, which took place in October  2023.  Rogan suggested that “the fix was in” during the bout, where Ngannou, despite his impressive performance and a knockdown of Fury, lost by split decision.

Joe Rogan claimed “I thought he won that fight. But, you know, they were setting up that Usyk fight. They were not gonna let it happen; it just seemed like the fix was in a little bit. It was close enough that they could pull it off. You could go, ‘Okay, maybe. Maybe you could see him winning that,’ but I don’t think so. I thought Francis won it. A lot of people thought Francis won it.”

Joe Rogan Claims Francis Ngannou deserved to win the fight

The fight, which marked Ngannou’s boxing debut, was closely contested, and the split decision only added to the controversy. Rogan’s outspoken nature and his willingness to call out what he perceives as injustices in the sport have made him a polarizing figure, but also a respected voice in the MMA community.
