Dana White has finally responded to Conor McGregor sharing their direct messages on social media – saying it is the “dirtiest thing you can do.”
McGregor took to Twitter on Friday night and shared a string of messages between himself and the UFC president. In them, ‘The Notorious’ and White discuss various plans for the future including potential events and opponents.
To Diego Sanchez…
I seen your recent comments about your final bout and I am in!
After you fought Pereira, I had requested for myself and you to compete in Dublin. This was back in February when I was working on opposition for my season, pre covid.
Good luck this weekend! pic.twitter.com/Y0hf6Zr7XF— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) September 25, 2020
Regardless of the prior request, White definitely didn’t appreciate that McGregor made their private conversation public without his permission. He also isn’t sure it made Conor look great either while he was asking to fight Sanchez, who hasn’t exactly set the world on fire in his past few performances.
“It’s just something you don’t do. It’s one of the dirtiest things you can do, because we were just talking about Diego Sanchez. And Diego Sanchez is in there in a private conversation I was having with Conor.”
McGregor told White he wants to fight Diego Sanchez but it is something the 51-year-old could not get his head around.
“When you’re the number two or three-ranked guy in the world, and you’re telling me that you want to fight, but you want to fight unranked, 39-year-old Diego Sanchez in a main event in Los Angeles…”
McGregor vs Pacquiao?
The former ‘Champ-champ’ ended his slew of tweets by declaring he will face boxing legend Manny Pacquiao in the Middle East.
Anyway all water under the bridge who gives a fook.
I’m boxing Manny Pacquiao next in the Middle East.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) September 25, 2020
“For the sake of all the Filipino Covid-19 victims, Senator Manny Pacquiao will be fighting UFC superstar Conor McGregor next year, The huge portion of his earnings will proceed to those who are affected nationwide by the pandemic.“ a statement read per talkSPORT.
While both Conor and Pacquiao’s camps have confirmed talks are ongoing, White definitely wasn’t trying to feed those rumors when he was asked about the fight on Saturday night.“I have no idea,” White said about McGregor vs. Pacquiao. “Listen you guys have been asking me about Conor McGregor forever. Did you see Conor McGregor’s tweet? The retirement tweet? ‘I am retired.’ Birthday cake, I’m retired.”Seeing White’s comments, Conor issued another tweet in response, accusing White of firing the first shot by saying that McGregor had turned down fights.
