Between 1980 and 1983, Hogan would perform for both the American Wrestling Association and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. 

In 1983, he returned to WWF, and this was when his career truly took off. During the 1983/84 season, Hulk became the star and face of the WWF, attaining international renown. In this era, Hulk Hogan faced off against some of his most famous rivals, including the Ultimate Warrior, and “Macho Man” Randy Savage, renowned wrestlers in their own right. 

The so-called Hulkamania years are still remembered today among pro-wrestling fans, and often touted as the best years of the WWF. 

The Undertaker

Mark Calawayfirst began wrestling in 1987, training under Buzz Sawyer. In those early years, Mark tried out multiple different personalities, most notably “Mean Mark”. The Mean Mark moniker would not be met with huge success, however, the traces of what would soon become the Undertaker could be seen. 

In 1990, Calaway signed with the WWF, where he made his debut as the legendary Undertaker. Inspired by Universal horror films, The Undertaker was met with an overwhelmingly positive response, and soon became the face of the WWF, winning multiple championships, and having some of the greatest stories revolve around him. 

Today, the Undertaker is still one of the most popular wrestlers, on the same level as the Rock, John Cena, and Hulk Hogan.

The Rock

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, is without a doubt the most popular wrestlers of all time. His towering fame is such, that he has transcended the world of pro-wrestling, and has made a career for himself in both the acting and music industry.

During his stint in the WWF he began as a heel, however, his charisma soon made him the star, and he served as WWF champion for a long time.
