On September 28, 2019, Nunes made his debut and won his amateur boxing debut against Mario Silva via unanimous decision. This victory marked his entry into the world of combat sports. After that he did an exhibition bout with Popó Freitas. The former WBO super featherweight champion Acelino Freitas and Nunes stepped into the ring in January 2022.
He has been constantly fighting in amateur tournaments across south America and is seen as a legit boxer by the fans.
His journey to fame began when he decided to create videos for YouTube at the age of fifteen. Initially, his channel struggled to gain recognition, but everything changed when he released the parody song “Alô vó, tô reprovado” in 2012. The song went viral and made him a household name in Brazil.
