The former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo is trying to weave and climb his way up the UFC featherweight ladder to secure another shot at the title. While Aldo’s aura of invincibility has been somewhat shattered, he is still no slouch and proved his mettle by dispatching a dangerous Jeremy Stephens in the very first round via KO. However, still Aldo has found himself as a betting underdog in his upcoming fight against prospect Renato Moicano. Aldo though, has dismissed these odds and has claimed that he does not at all care about gambling and is solely focused on training.
Aldo is scheduled to fight Moicano in Brazil at UFC Fight Night 144, a.k.a. UFC on ESPN 2.
Aldo recently told Brazilian media outlet Combate that he does not at all care about being the underdog against Moicano. He also stated that he is only focused on his training and winning the fights. Here’s what he had to say:
I couldn’t care less about it, I don’t give a sh-t. I don’t care about gambling at all. I’m only interested in my training, my team and my potential to get in there and win my fights.
