Carmella has come a long way from being the last draft pick in 2016’s Brand Split. The Princess of Staten Island has made history and captured gold in the last 2 years that she’s been on the main roster.
In a recent interview with the Telegram, Carmella talked about her heel persona in the WWE.
It’s so much more fun. I love it. I love to be talky and tell everyone how good I am. I can kind of relate to that just a little bit. In everyday life it’s not something I would normally do, but there’s a little bit of the real Carmella inside of Carmella.
The Princess of Staten Island also talked about choosing to wrestle over cheer-leading in NFL. She said that it is more rewarding than cheerleading because it made her special and not a part of a team.
In the NFL you’re part of a team. You work together to win. Being a WWE Superstar is all about me. No team. I’m special.
Hard work and dedication can get you to places that you’ve always dreamt of and Carmella’s journey is a proof of that. In only two years, she has managed to climb at the top of the ladder and cement herself amongst the elite female athletes in the business.
Carmella will face the Empress of Tomorrow Asuka at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view. This will be her second title defence after winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
