WWE: Hulk Hogan’s return to the WWE imminent?

Looks like the Hulkster might finally be making his return to the company very soon. Hulk Hogan and WWE severed ties with each other back in 2015 after the former made some racist remarks towards the people of a certain ethnicity.

The Hulkster’s actions have kept him away from the company for almost 3 years…

According to PWInsiderWWE Officials are finally considering a Hogan return. Apparently, the discussion for the big return has already commenced some weeks ago.

It is uncertain as to what role Hogan will be playing after his return but it is being speculated that he might take up the role of an authority figure on SmackDown. This could very well be a possible outcome since the current SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon has taken an indefinite leave of absence and the General Manager, Daniel Bryan has been cleared to compete in-ring as a talent.

However, according to PWInsider, Hogan could be returning to his former job of being an Ambassador for the company and not necessarily an on-air personality. PWInsider also received an official  statement from the WWE which said:

We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes, however, he is not under any contract with WWE.

WWE has been looking for a way to bring Hogan back without facing a backlash from the fans. Hogan is quite possibly the first mega-star that the company ever created and is also a pop-culture icon.

Hogan himself has been vouching for a return to his home company publicly. He has been open to a return and had been waiting for a call from the company.

According to f4wonline.comHogan is scheduled to appear at the premiere of the “Andre The Giant” documentary film, which WWE and HBO have made in collaboration. This will be the first time since 2015 that Hogan has appeared at a WWE related event since 2015.
